Chicken fajitas are always a win in my book, but never had I tried tostadas before.
Steven wanted to try them, and it was something I thought was boring and fruitless in the name of culinary variety.
Tacos are just fine right?
Tostadas completely exceeded my expectations. It’s like a miniature taco pizza with a pile of delicious toppings delicately balanced on top of a satisfying crispy tortilla.
This is a relatively simple recipe, made easier by using canned black beans and instant whole-grain rice.

Spooky Shepherd’s Pie is a hearty, savory dish sure to sate children’s appetites before they go out trick-or-treating. This beef casserole features ghostly mounds of mashed potatoes on top with peas for eyes. (

Halloweenies with Mustard Sauce are easy to assemble and adorable. Grab one or two quickly because they go fast at any Halloween celebration as all mommies know of these miniature mummies. (

Meatball Creepy Crawlers will have children wanting to play with their food. Never fear, these are love at first bite. (

They’re messy, but Halloween Sloppy Joes, with green olives for eyes, make a marvelous meal because they are kid-tested and kid-approved. (
