Like most fans, Mark Soto wanted to see how his team would come out Thursday night against Victoria East. Just six days earlier, the Rattlers won their first season opener in seven years and did so in resounding fashion.

San Marcos didn’t just beat Dripping Springs. By the end of last Friday’s game, the Tigers tapped out after the Rattlers bruised them with a relentless rushing attack (224 yards on 42 carries).
