Frances Q. Garza

Frances Q. Garza, a resident of San Marcos, was released from her earthly bonds and presented into our Holy Father's hands on March 9, 2013 at the age of 74. 
Born May 2, 1938 in Reedville, she was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. 
Frances is preceded in death by her loving father Meliton Quiroz Sr. and brother Doroteo Quiroz. 
Our mother's strength was her family. Frances loved her children and grandchildren. She always wanted to take photos of anything and everything. Our mother's kindness and warmth will be dearly missed, but like the wind, her presence will always be felt. She will not be forgotten in our hearts.
Survivors are husband of 50 years Ignacio Garza of San Marcos, son Fernando Garza and wife Melissa of San Antonio, daughters Patty Ramirez and husband Raymond and Elva Garza, both of Austin, mother Joventina C. Quiroz of San Marcos, brothers Meliton Quiroz Jr. of Petersburg, sisters Felomina Rocha of Petersburg, Agapita Castro and Felipa Quiroz, both of Austin, Tomasa Camacho of California, and Lenandra Serda of San Antonio, grandchildren Sarah Frances, Ana Franceca and Cristian Miguel Garza and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation is today from 4 to - 7:30 p.m. at Los Angeles Funeral Home, with recitation of Rosary tonight at 7:30 p.m. in the Los Angeles Funeral Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in San Marcos. Rev. Father John Kim will officiate. Burial in Memory Lawn Memorial Park in Martindale.
Serving as pallbearers are Michael and Jeremiah Silguero, Ismael and Edward Rodriguez, Joseph Quiroz and Jerry Camacho.
